If you had visited the old Parkdale leadership blog in the past, you may be wondering why I have started another blog.
Simple answer? I forgot the password of the old blog. :)
Another reason is that I see this blog as a fresh start.
This year (starting from September 2011) has been very different in children's ministry. We have seen new leaders step up and say that they want to be involved. We have seen (lots) of children being born. New families have joined our church. There is has been a curriculum change in Sunday school, Kidztown, and KidzClub. We hopefully will be seeing some more aesthetic changes around our children's ministry rooms in the future...and this year has just started!
So why a blog?
You may have noticed that we haven't had any children's ministry meetings since the first one in September. All last year I felt that a change needed to happen regarding our meetings. I want our meetings to be purposeful and helpful. I felt that last year that it was hard for a lot of people to commit to meetings because of how busy life is.
Your time is important to me. Although we will not be having a meeting once a month as we did in the past, we will still be meeting together once a quarter for training. (More on that later)
This blog is to encourage, answer questions, train, and be here for you.
Looking forward to these "meetings" with you.
